Important Dates
to Remember
August
28: School Begins. Summer's
over and it's time for the 2007-2008 school year to begin. Arrive
early because Milliken will be closed south of Baseline because of
President Bush's appearance at Central Park.
September
4: Labor Day Holiday. Wow, five days of school
and it's time to take a day off!
September
12-13: CAHSEE Makeup
Test. The English portion of the test will take
place on Tuesday and the math portion of the test will be offered on
Wednesday for 11th and 12th graders only.
September
13: Back to School
Night.
Here's a chance to meet your daughter's or son's teachers at
LOHS. Plan to arrive by 6:30 P.M. Class
visitations begin at 7:00 P.M. and conclude at 9:00
P.M.
September
14: Minimum Day.
Classes will follow the minimum day schedule . Please
see the on-line bell schedule for exact times.
September 19-20: Yearbook
Pictures. Tell your kids to smile
because it's time for yearbook photos for grades 9th through
11th.
September
27: Progress Reports. Ask your daughter or son
to bring home their progress reports; however, teachers are
only required to submit progress reports for students receiving a
grade below a C-. Grades by all teachers will be issued on
October 27, 2006 with semester grades being issued on January 19,
2007.
October
12: Homecoming Game . Come watch the Grizzlies beat the Etiwanda Eagles at LOHS Stadium at 7:00 P.M.
October
13: Homecoming Dance. Celebrate the Grizzlies' victory over the Eagles in a dance where magic becomes reality at the gym beginning at 8:00 P.M.
November 1: Progress Reports .
